Practicum Journey (SKB)

Monday, 23rd November 2020     Hello! It’s Monday again! So, as we are still in MCO week, my school today will be having an official assembly through online using YouTube at 9am. Then, the link will be given by class teachers into the WhatsApp group with pupils. After that, those who had watched the official assembly need to fill in the google form to taking the attendance. It’s such an incredible experience I’ve ever had along this practicum journey. I’m proud with fellow teachers that involved to create this kind of official assembly through online.      In that video, we will having the emcee speech, then sing the “Negaraku” song, followed by “Melaka Maju Jaya” song and lastly the two verse of school song (BM/BI). Monday, 16th November 2020 Deepavali 🎇 (Public Holiday) Tuesday, 17th November 2020      How fast time flies, it’s already week 10! Basically, for today, we will having the second online meeting using Google Meet with our headmistress and fellow teachers. This week online meeting’s were about tomorrow’s program at school. The headmistress briefs all the teachers and also reminds us to obey the SOP for tomorrow and upcoming Thursday. Tomorrow will be the day for many teachers to prepare the PDPR Module 2 & 3. Sunday, 8th November 2020      Can’t believe that I already in week 9! And today, even it is Sunday, I coming to school to take my stuffs and clear my table. Reluctantly, we just got an announcement from government saying that all states will having MCO, also it’s affects all schools to be closed again. All schools will be closed until 18 December 2020.   Monday, 2nd November 2020      Here you go for the first day of my week 8, Monday! This week is an English week. In the morning, I was involved for the opening ceremony. My mentor, Puan Nuur, was assigned me to pick two pupils from 5 Kritis to perform jazz chant in that opening ceremony. I'm glad that my mentor choose me to practicing them. I've been trained them using WhatsApp video call as I had been informed on last Friday.      So, there will be many competition will be held during this week from year 1 until year 6. As for today, I will be handling Word Search Competition for my class, 2 Kritis. They will be given 1 hour to complete the word search by colour the words in the table. Pupils with the highest marks will be rewarded by the teacher. Then, my pupils was finished the competition in less than 40 minutes. Monday, 26th October 2020      Hello to my first day of week 7, Monday! As usual, I will be teaching 2 Kritis pupils today from 8.15am until 9.15am. I decided to do chant with my pupils. Pupils must listen attentively and read the chant with correct pronunciation. Then, I paste some flashcards of activities at the beach on whiteboard. After that, pupils need to draw at least 3 pictures of their favourite activities during at the beach.      As for my relief class, I get two relief classes, which is first at 3 Kritis from 9.45am until 10.15am. Monday, 19th October 2020      Hello to my week 6 and it’s Monday! So, I was taught my 2 Kritis pupils from 8.15am until 9.15am as usual. I decided to do their Practice Go work book, page 46 and 47 where pupils need to read the poster, then answer the ‘True’ or ‘False’ questions that related to the poster. After that, pupils still using their Practice Go work book, page 48 where they need to choose the most suitable sentence for every picture shown.      As for my relief class, I get two relief classes which is first at 6 Aktif from 11.35am until 12.35pm.   Monday, 12th October 2020      Hi week 5! So the Monday come again! As usual, I will teach 2 Kritis from 8.15am until 9.15am. To boost my new week of practicum, I had decided to “Make A Robot Mask” for my pupils 🤖. I distributes them with various robot mask, then pupils need to color it by their own creativity and cut it through the line neatly until it becomes a robot mask. In addition, the most beautiful and neat work will be rewarded by me. Hehe 🎁      As for my relief class, I get one relief class which is at 2 Positif from 11.35am until 12.05pm. Monday, 5th October 2020      Hi! I'm glad that I'm already in week 4! So, as usual when it's Monday, I will entering year 2 class, which is 2 Kritis from 8.15am until 9.15am. Meanwhile, today I had been informed by Teacher Ida that the pupils will sit for Diagnostic Examination, so I get the examination paper early in the morning. Basically, today I am not teaching my pupils, I am just entered the class and inform them that they will sit for examination for 1 hour and passed up the paper to me. My pupils do understand my instructions and they do examinations quietly.      Anyway, I got no relief class for today. So I got some time to marks my pupils examination paper in that free time. Monday, 28th September 2020      Hello! Here you you go for my week 3 of practicum. So, it’s Monday where I teach 2 Kritis from 8.15am until 9.15am. I had decided to do Practice Go work book for my pupils, page 39. Pupils need to listen to the hint then guess the person by write the name at the pictures shown. Next, I’ll give them a worksheet contains animals skeletons. Pupils need to match the skeletons to the correct animals. I do check and corrects them immediately during the class.      As for the relief class, I get one relief class which is at 5 Positif from 8.15am until 8.45am but coincidentally it is clash to my schedule, so I’ll inform to my GPK1 and she manage to change with another teacher to enter the class. Monday, 21st September 2020     H ere you go with my week 2 of my practicum journey! So today is the day where I starting to teach my 2 Kritis pupils from 8.15am until 9.15am. As for very first teaching the class, I decide to teach them The Skeleton from Unit 8: Robot. I also had consult with their own teacher and she suggest me to continue the subtopic The Skeleton. During the class, I distributes the pupils a cut-out worksheet. The worksheet contains the skeleton that they need to cut and paste it in correct order. Then, they need to label the parts of the skeleton correctly.  Monday, 14th September 2020     H i! It was my first day as a practicum teacher at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bachang, Melaka. I had arrived at the school as early as 7.10 am and I am just straight to the school's office. I met the GPK 1, Puan Zaiton to be acknowledge and get a brief from her. Coincidentally, the morning of the day we came, the school was having a "Majlis Penutupan Bulan Merdeka", so its take us some time to get fully briefing as the GPK 1 needs to handle it with the other teachers. After the event is done, me and my practicum partner, Nur Ainin Sofia were assigned to our desk at the Bilik Mesyuarat as the teacher's room in our school doesn't have enough space for us to stay.
